Job summary

CITY OF EVANS seeks an Assistant City Manager to lead the City Manager’s Office and oversee major departments. This role requires translating Council priorities into aligned work plans, budgets, and capital programs with strong executive judgment.

You will act as the City Manager’s deputy, coordinate interdepartmental operations, and foster a culture of accountability and service excellence for residents and stakeholders in Evans, Colorado.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years local government or equivalent management experience including supervisory duties.
• Experience with operating and capital budgets, performance management, and policy oversight.
• Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive oversight of multiple city departments and programs.
• Translate council priorities into department work plans and performance metrics.
