Job summary

Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys and the Office of the U.S. Attorneys is seeking candidates for a temporary promotion at the GS-10 level in Phoenix, AZ.

The selected individual must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level and will perform complex administrative support tasks for senior officials. Responsibilities include calendar management, document screening, visit and call screening, and arranging travel.

Qualifications

  • ONE year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level is required.
  • Specialized experience includes performing complex and confidential administrative support for superiors.
  • Experience reading, screening and controlling incoming documents; and composing a variety of written material.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supervisors' calendars and coordinate appointments, meetings, engagements and conferences.
  • Read, screen and control incoming documents for procedural and grammatical accuracy.
  • Receive and screen visitors and callers and respond to routine inquiries.
  • Make travel arrangements and ensure accuracy of outgoing correspondence.

Job description

As needed, additional positions may be filled using this announcement. This temporary promotion may be extended up to a total of 4 years or made permanent without further competition.

GS-10: To be eligible at the GS-10 level, you must have at least ONE year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level.

Specialized experience is defined as: performing complex and confidential administrative support and tasks for superiors; maintaining and exercising control over supervisors' calendar for appointments, meetings, engagements and conferences; reading, screening and controlling incoming documents; receiving and screening visitors and callers; composing a variety of written material; ensuring accuracy of outgoing correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy; and making travel arrangements.
