About People of Color in Dental
People of Color in Dental (PoC in Dental) is a nonprofit organization that serves to connect professionals of color in the dental field; share resources and support; and foster diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging in dentistry alongside allies. Together, the team works to enhance the field and advance oral health equity for and with underrepresented populations. As the organization expands, the team is recruiting an Executive Assistant.
Position Summary
This is an Executive Assistant position at PoC in Dental with remote flexibility, preference for NYC area candidates. The incumbent's primary responsibilities follow:
Administrative Assistance: Provide direct administrative support to the Chief of Staff and President, with focus on the following projects and tasks:
The incumbent may also serve as a point-of-contact liaison for the Chief of Staff and President using individual email accounts, assist with organization, and schedule meetings using Zoom.
Membership Outreach Support: Assist with development and design of a new website, membership outreach messaging and materials, and virtual events as needed. Assist team with ideating, facilitating communications, and tracking partnerships and collaborations; corporate sponsorships; individual sponsorships; and diversified membership perks.
Other Position Duties
The incumbent will report to the Chief of Staff, and will cross-functionally collaborate with departmental team members as needed.
The incumbent will receive 1:1 leadership development mentorship from the Chief of Staff, and participate in internal 1:1 and external group meetings.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or coursework towards Bachelor's Degree in progress; and undergraduate internship experience and/or post-undergraduate work experience.
Excellent administrative, written, and verbal communication skills. Understanding of journalism and communications best practices with respect to research, writing, and design preferred. Meticulous copy editing skills, and understanding of data analysis, graphic design, and search engine optimization (SEO).
Demonstrated ability to manage up, and work independently and cross-functionally in a remote environment. Collaborative mindset and willingness to engage with fellow team members.
