Position Overview

LISC seeks an experienced Executive Assistant to serve as a strategic administrative and operational partner to the SVP, Chief People Officer (CPO) and the People & Culture team. This role is responsible for providing high-level executive support, coordinating HR operations, managing key projects and communications, and driving cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

The Executive Assistant will play a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness of the Chief People Officer by managing priorities, facilitating communication, coordinating team activities, and supporting initiatives that advance LISC's people, talent, and organizational goals. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted partner who helps strengthen internal operations and enables leadership to focus on strategic priorities, talent initiatives, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Administration
  • Serve as the primary administrative support to the Chief People Officer, managing calendars, travel, meetings, presentations, executive correspondence, and other day-to-day administrative activities.
  • Prioritize and coordinate competing requests, ensuring the effective use of the CPO's time and timely follow-up on key deliverables and commitments.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, briefing materials, presentations, reports, and other executive documents.
  • Coordinate logistics and materials for leadership meetings, board and committee presentations, employee engagement events, and People & Culture initiatives.
HR Operations & Project Coordination
  • Support the coordination of key People & Culture priorities, including talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, leadership development, compensation, performance management, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Coordinate project plans, timelines, meetings, and deliverables across multiple HR initiatives and stakeholder groups.
  • Track departmental priorities and action items, ensuring accountability and timely completion of commitments.
Communications & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as a liaison between the People & Culture team and internal stakeholders across the organization.
  • Coordinate and manage communications workflows, ensuring timely review and distribution of employee communications, leadership updates, policies, announcements, and People & Culture resources.
  • Draft and edit executive communications, presentations, meeting summaries, and other materials on behalf of the CPO.
  • Support employee engagement and change management communications related to organizational initiatives.
Administrative & Financial Support
  • Prepare and reconcile departmental expenditures, consultant agreements, vendor invoices, and corporate credit card transactions against approved budgets.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement activities supporting People & Culture programs and services.
  • Maintain organized and confidential records, files, and documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Team & Organizational Support
  • Support special projects, strategic initiatives, employee programs, leadership events, and other activities that advance LISC's people strategy.
  • Assist with meeting planning, onboarding coordination, training activities, recognition programs, and other employee experience initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Chief People Officer and the People & Culture function.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred or relevant related work experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience providing executive-level administrative support, project coordination, HR operations support, or related experience.
  • Experience supporting senior executives, preferably within Human Resources, People & Culture, Talent Management, or Organizational Development functions.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting executive communications and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee, organizational, and business information.
  • Excellent software skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and work within multiple systems and platforms.
  • Experience working with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, learning platforms, or other workforce management technologies preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with leaders, employees, external partners, and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, and customer-service orientation.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit organizations and community development is a plus with an interest in supporting organizational and talent strategies that help employees and communities thrive.
Compensation

LISC offers a competitive salary ($57,322-$71,652) and excellent fringe benefits.
