The City of Fayetteville seeks an Executive Assistant in the City Manager’s Office to provide high-level administrative support, supervise staff, and coordinate activities across departments. The role requires discretion with confidential matters and strong organizational skills to manage scheduling, travel, and communications.
Ideal candidates will have at least three years of administrative/office management experience and a Bachelor’s degree.
This position will be providing executive administrative support for the City Manager's Office.
Hiring Range: $56,687 - $72,276/Year D.O.Q.

The City of Fayetteville is currently recruiting for an Executive Assistant in our City Manager’s Office to perform a wide variety of responsible, confidential, and complex administrative and technical duties on a day-to-day basis for the City Manager; to serve as a liaison with department directors, division managers, staff representatives of other organizations, elected and appointed officials, and the public in general; and to serve as the office manager and supervise the administrative employees in the City Manager's Office.
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Three years of increasingly responsible administrative/office management experience, to include working as an Executive or Administrative Assistant with supervisory experience.
Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with course work in Business/Office Management practices or a related field.

Commissioned by the State of North Carolina as a Notary Public; Microsoft certification.
From the time of closing, the selection process is anticipated to last approximately 4 - 6 weeks. The process will consist of a panel interview and skills testing including, but not limited to Keyboarding, Intermediate Excel, Intermediate Word, Outlook, and Proofreading with the successful candidate being subject to a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and driving history check.
