Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) seeks an Associate Nursing Officer, Perioperative Services, to lead perioperative nursing practice and champion patient care excellence in a nationally recognized academic medical center.

Accountable to the President of VUMC and CNO, the ANO will provide strategic and operational leadership across a large perioperative/surgical services operation, partnering with leaders to drive high-quality care, staff engagement, and financially sound clinical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees required (one of which must be in Nursing). Doctorate preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of Tennessee (or ability to obtain).
• Ten years of progressive senior leadership experience in a high-volume academic perioperative/surgical services setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for perioperative nursing practice.
• Partner with medical and administrative leaders to drive high-quality, financially sound clinical operations while advancing patient outcomes and staff engagement.
