Strada Education Foundation, Inc. is seeking an Executive Affairs Intern for the summer to support events, strategic initiatives, and internal communications. The program emphasizes hands-on experience in a national nonprofit focused on connecting education and employment.

The internship runs May 18, 2027 to August 13, 2027 with a hybrid schedule in Washington, DC. Expect 30 hours per week, with travel up to 15% for professional development and events.

Qualifications

• At least one year out of high school and currently enrolled in or accepted into a postsecondary education or training program (college, apprenticeship, boot camp, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and contribute in a collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Zoom and Slack is a plus.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently while being open to feedback.
• Passionate about promoting equitable opportunities in education and employment.
• Positive attitude with a strong willingness to collaborate, contribute, and enhance the experience of the entire internship cohort.

Responsibilities

• Events Management (40%): Support Strada's events team in planning external events and the flagship State Opportunity Index event, coordinating with partners to advance logistics and planning.
• Strategic Support (40%): Assist the Chief of Staff on targeted initiatives, potentially including a major strategic project, cross-team analytics, or Focus States coordination.
• Internal Communications (20%): Support internal communications by surfacing news, events, and mission progress to build a cohesive organization.
