Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required
• RN license in the state of practice required
• 3+ years of experience in surgical services
• 3+ years of leadership experience
• CNOR preferred
• CSSM preferred
• Master's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Participate in service, departmental and hospital-wide committees and communicate to stakeholders
• Advance the customer experience in Surgical Services
• Coach subordinates with feedback and development plans
• Adhere to Human Resources policies
• Communicate departmental and organization information to staff
• Foster evidence-based employee engagement practices
• Build relationships to achieve department goals
• Utilize talent review data for pipeline development
• Develop strategic career advancement for perioperative leaders
• Set strategic vision and goals for the department
• Design standards of care and measure compliance
• Develop, implement, and evaluate ongoing surgical services programs
• Monitor regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policy compliance
• Oversee a PI program to evaluate care aspects
• Ensure operational excellence and fiscal management
• Promote collaboration with medical staff and departments
• Seek new program strategies to expand patient services
• Defend capital equipment requests
• Advance growth of Surgical Services and service-line expansion
• Position the OR as the physician and patient choice
