Job summary

Baker Hughes in Houston is seeking a Business Management Senior Director - Business Operations to shape strategy, drive revenue, and enhance profitability across the organization. You will lead cross-functional teams, own P&L and budgets, implement enterprise-wide improvements, and champion data-driven decision making to improve visibility and performance for customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies that drive revenue growth, operational excellence, and long-term profitability.
• Own plant product line P&L, budgets, forecasts and development and implementation of strategy.
• Lead cross-functional teams across operations, project management, manufacturing, and customer-facing organizations to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
• Optimize operational structures, processes, and resource allocation to improve efficiency, scalability, and market responsiveness.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen business performance, increase productivity, and enhance financial results.
• Establish and maintain disciplined operating rhythms, performance metrics, and accountability frameworks to ensure execution excellence.
• Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including business process standardization and technology modernization programs.
• Drive successful implementation and adoption of integrated business systems to improve visibility, decision-making, and operational effectiveness.
• Build and develop high-performing leadership teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer focus.
• Partner with global and regional stakeholders to align organizational capabilities with strategic business objectives and growth opportunities.
• Oversee all aspects of the business through strategic leadership and effective tactical management.
• Coach, engage and direct staff to deliver operational results that meet and exceed organizational expectations for the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including safety, quality, cost, delivery, training, compliance, on-time delivery, overdue backlog, NPS, communications, etc.

Desired Characteristics

Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and in case of a managerial role, to have experience of atleast 2+ years managing teams .
