Job summary
Metra Commuter Rail in Chicago seeks a Senior Director, Infrastructure and Network Services to lead enterprise-wide infrastructure strategy, resilience, and service delivery for ~4,000 users across 350+ locations. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent education/experience).
- 15+ years of progressive infrastructure leadership in large, distributed enterprise environments.
- 7+ years leading managers and complex vendor ecosystems; focus on reliability and incident response.
- Portfolio ownership experience for multi-million-dollar infrastructure investments.
Responsibilities
- Own final decision authority for enterprise infrastructure designs and standards.
- Lead executive incident leadership for major outages and rapid restoration.
- Drive multi-year modernization road maps and cost optimization efforts.
- Ensure security-by-design and regulatory compliance across platforms.
