Job summary

The State of Alaska Department of Health seeks an Adult Probation Officer 2 to provide case management and supervision for offenders in Therapeutic Court programs across Anchorage and other Alaska sites.

You will conduct intake assessments, meet regularly with participants to monitor compliance, perform field visits and screenings, and serve as a liaison with justice and social service agencies, upholding NDCI standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in any field.
• One year of entry-level professional experience in probation, parole, or related fields.
• Substitution: four years of postsecondary education and/or paraprofessional experience may substitute for the degree.
• Requires valid Alaska driver's license, APSIN background check, and travel within the state.

Responsibilities

• In this role, provide ongoing case management and supervision for offenders in Therapeutic Court programs.
• Perform intake/risk assessments for new participants and conduct regular follow-ups.
• Meet with participants to monitor compliance, conduct field visits, curfew checks, and drug/alcohol screenings.
• Prepare reports for status hearings and liaise with justice system and social service agencies.
• Ensure Therapeutic Courts' adherence to NDCI standards.
