Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance is offering a 12-week, full-time internship on the Excess Casualty team in the Atlanta area. You will gain hands-on exposure to real duties, including drafting quotes, processing endorsements, and coordinating with brokers and underwriting staff, under mentorship from senior leaders.

We seek students pursuing risk management, insurance, finance, or business degrees who are proactive, highly organized, and effective communicators.

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in risk management/insurance, Finance or Business
• Able to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Correspondence with brokers, vendors, underwriting team members
• Preparation of accounts for modeling
• Drafting quotes and binders
• Post-binding account changes/transactions
• Policy issuance including correspondence to drafting team and broker
• Endorsement processing and issuance
• Account status updates within systems through underwriting life cycle
• Operate internal controls and support Internal Audit timelines
• Other duties as assigned
