Job summary

TruCapital Partners, a growing specialty insurer, seeks an experienced Excess Casualty Underwriter to join its underwriting team. This role focuses on building and managing a profitable portfolio of non-construction excess casualty business while developing strong broker partnerships.

You will underwrite new and renewal accounts, analyze complex risks, and collaborate with internal teams to drive growth and portfolio profitability within targeted industries and territories.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Commercial Casualty or Excess Casualty underwriting experience.
• Strong understanding of casualty coverages, risk analysis, and policy structure.
• Experience underwriting middle-market and/or large commercial accounts.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain broker relationships.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• E&S market experience is preferred but not required.
