Job summary

BASIS Prescott is seeking an Exceptional Student Services Assistant to join our bright, passionate team. This role supports Special Education, 504, and EL programs at the school site and helps maintain communication with parents and staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with IEPs and 504 plans, providing one-on-one or small group support to students, and performing administrative tasks under the guidance of the ESS Coordinator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or satisfactory state background check required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan implementation with special educational needs in general education settings such as classrooms, halls, lunchrooms, playgrounds, etc.
• Provide paraprofessional or one-on-one support to individual students as needed.
• Assist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
• Collaborate with the ESS Coordinator.
• Provide support to teaching staff.
• Maintain paperwork for IEPs and 504 plans and ensure confidentiality of records.
• Assist ESS Coordinators with administrative tasks.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Supervise students individually or in groups.
• Reinforce and reteach concepts from special education instruction.
• Provide instructional interventions and academic support to students or small groups.
• Other duties as assigned.
