Job summary

BASIS Chandler Primary South is seeking an Exceptional Student Services Instructional Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will support students with special education needs, assist with IEPs and 504 plans, and work closely with teachers and the ESS Coordinator to ensure individualized support.

Responsibilities include implementing instructional interventions, supervising students, and maintaining confidential records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; background check and IVP clearance required.
• Preferred: paraprofessional exam, CPI or TACT-2; 1+ years in special education duties.

Responsibilities

• Plan implementation with special educational needs in general education settings.
• Provide paraprofessional or one-on-one support to individual students.
• Assist in implementing IEPs and 504 plans; maintain confidentiality of student records.
• Collaborate with the ESS Coordinator and assist teaching staff.
• Maintain regular attendance and supervise students; perform clerical tasks as assigned.
• Support ESS Coordinator in documenting IEPs/504s and progress.
