CRAVEN COUNTY SCHOOLS

Exceptional Children's Teacher

Position: Exceptional Children's Teacher

Reports to: Director of Acountability and Exceptional Children/Principal

Terms of Employment: 10 months

Pay Range: NC Salary Schedule (commensurate with experience)plus Local Supplement

FLSA Status: Exempt

Supervises: May coordinate and direct the activities of teacher assistants

Purposes: To plan, instruct, and organize instructional environments which helpstudents learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development.

Nature of Work:

The Teacher is required to follow all Board Policies and procedures, and to comply with the instructions and/or directives from his/her supervisor(s). In addition, the Teacher shall perform in a manner that meets the following Standards and Elements.

Teachers know the content they teach

Education and Experience

  • Must hold ot qualify to hold a NC Educators License
  • NC Educator License in Exceptional Children
