Job summary

Boulay Financial Advisors, LLC seeks a Due Diligence Intern to support our Consulting team in Minneapolis, MN. You will assist on buy/sell side diligence projects, build financial models in Excel, and convert data from ERP systems like QuickBooks. The role offers mentorship, in-house training, and exposure across multiple industries.

Internships are full-time, paid experiences running June–August. Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum 3.0 GPA,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred
• Finance majors with a minor in accounting will be considered
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid academic record
• Completion of corporate finance or some accounting coursework
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Motivated to serve clients and be a team player

Responsibilities

• Complete a case study over the internship and present findings to team leaders
• Gain exposure to diverse industries (healthcare, software, manufacturing, construction, professional services)
• Build dynamic and linked financial statements and models in Excel
• Review and extract data from QuickBooks or similar ERP software
• Convert large data sets to Excel and format to Consulting standards
• Shadow client meetings to understand client relationships
• Perform financial analysis and build financial models (cash to accrual)
• Present findings to Consulting, Due Diligence team and clients
• Apply foundational accounting concepts around GAAP and accrual accounting
• Take on additional special projects as assigned
