Job summary

Boulay is seeking a Due Diligence Intern to join our Consulting team in Minneapolis. You will support buy/sell side projects, convert raw data into insights in Excel, and learn to collaborate with offshore resources.

The role includes case studies, professional training, and mentorship to grow technical and client-facing skills. Interns are paid, full-time, and run June through August in our Minneapolis, MN office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; preferred
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and strong academic record
• Completion of corporate finance or related coursework
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Exemplary communication (oral and written)
• Desire to be a team player

Responsibilities

• Complete a case study over the internship and present key findings to team leaders
• Gain exposure to industries such as healthcare, software, manufacturing, construction, and professional services
• Apply Excel knowledge by building dynamic and linked financial statements and models
• Review and extract data from QuickBooks or similar ERP software
• Convert large data sets to Excel and format to Consulting department standards
• Shadow client meetings to understand client relationships
• Conduct financial analysis and build financial models (cash to accrual)
• Present findings to Consulting, Due Diligence team and clients
• Apply GAAP and accrual-based accounting concepts
• Assist with additional special projects as assigned
