Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking an Excavator Operator to join our Fountain, North Carolina site. The role emphasizes safety, dependability, and motivation as you operate an excavator and perform daily pre/post inspections of equipment and work areas.

The position may include other plant duties such as greasing, shoveling and ensuring berms and roadways are properly maintained to support daily operations. Training of teammates may be required and supervision will assign additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Safety conscious, dependable and motivated individuals are sought.
• Candidate should be able to operate mobile construction equipment.
• Experience operating an excavator is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the excavator safely and efficiently according to company guidelines.
• Perform daily pre and post inspections of equipment and work areas.
• Grease, shovel, and maintain work areas with proper berms and roadways.
• Maintain safe traffic flow and assist with training co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
