Job summary

Arcosa Crushed Concrete in Lakeland, FL is seeking a skilled equipment operator to safely process concrete rubble and feed crushers, while removing debris and maintaining plant operations.

You will work with a team, adhere to safety procedures, perform routine maintenance, and communicate with field supervision. The role is station-based with travel limits, requires 18+ and strong reliability and communication.

Qualifications

• Some experience required.
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance Monday through Saturday.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment with competency and caution and adhere to company and federal safety procedures and requirements.
• Safely operate excavator to process concrete rubble and feed crusher while removing debris not suitable to feed plant.
• Communicate with field supervisor regarding assigned work and instructions.
• Work in a team environment and perform daily tasks to maintain equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on plant or mobile equipment.
• Inspect equipment daily prior to operation and report deficiencies.
• Maintain clean and organized work site and store equipment properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned; this is a stationary position with limited travel.

What You'll Do

• Operate equipment with competency and caution and adhere to company and federal safety procedures and requirements
• Safely and efficiently operate excavator to process (with hydraulic or mechanical processor) concrete rubble to reduced material size to feed crusher while also removing long and loose rebar or other debris not suitable to feed plant
• Communicate on regular and continuous basis with field supervisor regarding assigned work to accomplish and specific instructions.
• Work in a successful and positive team environment
• Use hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, screwdriver, sledgehammer, and others as needed to accomplish daily tasks to maintain and/or repair equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance as required on plant or mobile equipment
• Inspect equipment daily prior to operation; notify supervisor of any deficiencies or repairs needed prior to use
• Maintain housekeeping of work site including trash pickup, keeping tools in order, proper storage of equipment at end of workday.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
• This is a stationary position with limited travel.

Working Conditions

• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Able to climb heights of 20 feet on a regular basis

• Required to wear safety equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, steel toed boots, ear plugs, respirator, gloves and various other similar items as required.
