Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to support our Mainline Pipe Crew or Mass Excavation Crew on heavy civil projects along the Mid-Atlantic region. The role demands at least three years of excavator operation, strong safety discipline, and ability to read plans and grade with GPS guidance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating excavators in heavy civil construction.
• Experience in mainline pipe installation or mass excavation preferred.
• CDL is a plus; must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic excavators to perform digging, trenching, and grading.
• Excavate for utility installation (water, sewer, storm drainage).
• Perform bulk earthmoving and slope work on large projects.
• Read and interpret construction plans, grade stakes, and laser levels.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation following OSHA standards.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues.
