Job summary

Allan Myers, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Excavator Operator to join our Mainline Pipe Crew or Mass Excavation Crew on heavy civil construction projects in Annapolis, MD. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience operating excavators and can read plans, stakes, and laser levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating excavators on heavy civil sites.
• Experience with mainline pipe or mass excavation preferred.
• GPS machine control experience is a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic excavators (e.g., Cat 330/336/349) for digging, trenching and grading.
• Excavate for utility installation including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
• Perform bulk earthmoving and grading on large-scale projects.
• Read construction plans, grade stakes, and laser levels.
• Ensure safe operation following OSHA standards; perform daily inspections.
