Job summary

Heidelberg Materials NE LLC in New York seeks an Excavator Operator to support aggregate production at our Jamesville site. You will operate excavators, load and stockpile materials, and help meet daily production goals in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities include equipment inspections, reporting maintenance needs, adhering to company policies, and collaborating with plant teams to optimize site performance. Candidates must be able to work outdoors in varied weather.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Safely operate excavators to support aggregate production, material handling, and site operations.
  • Inspect equipment daily and report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Load, move, and stockpile materials efficiently while maintaining production goals.
  • Follow company safety policies, operational procedures, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to support plant, quarry, and site performance objectives.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States and comply with all company employment requirements.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

What We Offer

$20.00 to $26.00 per hour

  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions
