In this role, you will support a positive safety culture in an aggregate environment regulated by MSHA safety standards. As an Excavator Operator, you will work with a team to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment.

Day to Day

1. Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition.
2. Operate at least 3 pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.).
3. Operate equipment in quarry or production settings.
4. Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
5. Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance.
6. Maintain strong communication with other plant employees and operators.
7. Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
8. Must have experience with excavator, dozer, and dredge.

About You

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance.
• Positive, team-based attitude.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• Ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.

Working Conditions and Physical Environment

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when responsibilities require work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty environments.
