Overview

Archer Western Construction is currently seeking an Excavator Operator for the Tsenc/I26/I95 Interchange Improvements Project in Harleyville, SC.

The Excavator Operator's primary function is to operate an excavator at the site of work to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building structures. Equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operate an excavator to complete tasks such as digging, excavating, and moving and/or transporting materials like dirt, rocks, and other aggregates.
• Have knowledge of operating procedures related to loading and unloading materials.
• Perform oiling, greasing, servicing, and normal maintenance adjustments on equipment; conduct daily safety and maintenance checks; complete paperwork and documentation as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of operating experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; effective communication with co-workers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
