Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking Environmental Services staff to promote a clean, infection-free environment and support infection prevention. EVS is team-based, focused on patient rooms and facility sanitation, delivering top-quality service while making patients and visitors feel welcome.

The role requires mobility and teamwork in a dynamic hospital setting, with autonomy on a varied task set. Housekeeping experience is preferred but not required, and training is provided to maintain

Qualifications

• No prior experience is required; however, preference will be given to environmental cleaning experience, especially in a healthcare setting.
• Must be able to use all job specific equipment that isrequiredtoclean andmaintainthe facility.
• Must be able to read,write, and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• EVS is a team-based department focusing on sanitation in patient rooms and throughout the facility.
• It is critically important for our department to deliver top-quality service and provide a clean, inviting environment in conjunction with making patients and visitors feel welcome.
• Ability to work as part of a team in an atmosphere that is variablepaced atlow pressure.
• Ability tooperateautonomously on a varying set of tasks. Requires mobility and ability tomove, lift, push, and pull equipment & supplies.
