Job summary

Mill Creek Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Oldtown, NC is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to support a clean, sanitary and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will participate in housekeeping, laundry, and other environmental tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, flexible, and capable of working both independently and with a team while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping or laundry is helpful.
• Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep, dust mop, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste according to guidelines.
• Perform laundry duties: sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distribution.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping and laundry areas.
• Report equipment issues and infection control concerns to supervision.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
