Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Environmental Services Tech II (Housekeeper) for a full-time, 1st shift in Kentucky. You will clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, and meeting rooms to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment.

As EVS Technician II, you will perform cleaning, disinfection, patient room turnover, floor care, waste disposal, and specialty cleaning while following infection prevention and safety standards.

Qualifications

• No prior experience is required; however, related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect specialty patient care areas and equipment, including Surgical Services, Labor & Delivery, Endoscopy, PACU, IR, Cath Lab, and other assigned clinical areas.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, OSHA, DOT, and PPE guidelines to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
• Perform occupied, discharge, and specialty cleaning using approved techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment and cleaning tools according to manufacturer and department standards.
• Properly handle and dispose of regulated medical, hazardous, and general waste.
• Report maintenance, equipment, and safety concerns promptly.
• Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement initiatives, and department meetings to support patient safety and exceptional care.
• Performs specialty tasks per facility needs, including, but not limited to, conference room set up/dismantle according to function sheets and schedules, cleaning of stairwells and elevators, and hanging of cubicle curtains.
