Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Environmental Services Associate in Chicago. The role supports hospital cleanliness by scrubbing and refinishing floors, operating a variety of cleaning equipment, and following strict safety procedures.

The position offers evening hours from 5pm to 1:30am with rotating weekends and holidays, and requires a High School Diploma or GED plus preferred housekeeping experience. Healthcare environment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
1-2 years of housekeeping experience preferred.
Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Scrub, strips, polishes and refinishes floors using appropriate equipment and supplies.
Operates cleaning equipment (vacuum, ringers, electric floor machines, sweepers, etc.).
Clean or sanitize after emergencies as needed.
Analyze floor conditions and determine proper cleaning techniques.
Maintain hard surface floors and carpets per department process.
Complete job assignments timely and proactively seek additional tasks.
Dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with safety procedures.
Support department goals and maintain professional conduct with patients and staff.
