Job summary

Saint Anthony Hospital in Chicago, Illinois is seeking an EVS – Environmental Services professional for a full-time, evening shift. Compensation starts at $17.05 per hour under the union contract.

Responsibilities include routine hard floor and carpet care, waste handling, and cleaning in patient and non-patient areas. Minimum experience in hospital housekeeping and ability to work with chemicals are required.

Qualifications

• One to three years of housekeeping experience in a hospital.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work with chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance for hard floors and carpeted areas.
• Set-up and break down areas for catering functions.
• Removal and replacement of cubicle curtains and window drapes.
• Perform removal of waste and bio-hazardous waste from point of origin to proper disposal site.
• Performs cleaning duties in patient and nonpatient areas including restrooms, wall washing, window blinds, bed making, and other related duties.
