Job summary

Washington Regional Medical System in Northwest Arkansas seeks an EVS Tech I to support a safe, sanitary healing environment. The role involves cleaning patient and non-patient areas, stocking supplies, and following infection prevention practices.

The EVS Tech I will interact with staff, visitors and patients and must read, write and speak English. Physical effort includes standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs; PPE is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous hospital housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, restrooms, corridors and other assigned areas according to schedules and standards.
• Stock and maintain EVS supply cart/closet at shift start and end.
• Perform discharge/terminal cleaning and enhanced cleaning for isolation rooms.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of trash, linen, and waste per hospital policy.
• Replenish disposable items (soap, towels, toilet paper, gloves, sanitizer) as assigned.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and furniture per unit workflow and EVS procedures.
• Respond promptly to service calls and spills; place wet-floor signage and follow safety protocols.
• Use PPE and infection prevention practices; operate tracking system to document and close tasks; communicate status.
