Responsibilities

• Lead co-workers in the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services department (EVS) program.
• Confers, plans ahead with supervisory staff on job assignments, projects and activities.
• Verifies completion of all assigned duties/tasks by EVS staff according to EVS procedures.
• Assist in scheduling EVS staff and adjust daily schedules to ensure proper staffing across areas.
• Functions as Environmental Services Tech: handle hazardous materials, spills, and disaster plans.
• Coordinate projects and room setups; inspect high-touch areas and equipment.
• Liaise between EVS and patients, staff, and customers as needed.
• Issue keys, pagers, and equipment; suggest work improvements.
• Train associates and assist in department orientation; maintain licenses and competencies.
• Inspect equipment and supplies for cleanliness and maintenance for next shift use.
