Job summary

Children's Health in Plano, TX is seeking a 2nd shift EVS Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning and special events, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness. You will supervise staff, train, schedule, and ensure safe, cost-efficient use of chemicals and equipment.

The role requires at least 2 years in a supervisory role in environmental services and a high school diploma; CHEST/T-CHEST and CSCT/CSCT certifications are encouraged within the first year of hire.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a supervisory role in environmental services or equivalent supervisory duties required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• New employees must obtain CHEST or T-CHEST and CSCT or T-CSCT certifications within first year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Establish a high standard of cleanliness; inspect assigned areas and ensure staff follow procedures and schedules; correct deficiencies and review procedures with staff.
• Ensure patient rooms are cleaned according to established timeframes and bed tracking classifications.
• Participate in selecting and training new employees; orient and assign staff; establish PEAC initiatives; conduct quarterly evaluations.
• Sign employees and pagers in and out daily; adjust assignments at shift start to ensure coverage of all areas.
• Conduct and document patient/customer interviews; address safety, cleanliness and customer issues; ensure safe chemical and equipment use and cost efficiency.
