Job summary

The Twenty-Nine Palms Band Of Mission Indians seeks an EVS Supervisor to oversee cleanliness and presentation of the casino and tribal facilities in Twentynine Palms, CA. You will supervise staff, ensure Five Star Experience standards, and maintain safety and hygiene across facilities.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or equivalent, 6 months to 1 year of related experience, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screens; tribal gaming license is required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to guests and other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
• Lead by example and deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and Team Members by fulfilling our Mission Statement and Service Promise.
• Continually coach and support Team Members to ensure they have the skills, tools and resources to complete their jobs.
• Establish standards and procedures for EVS staff work.
• Train and develop staff through coaching, counseling, and corrective actions.
• Plan work schedules to ensure adequate service.
• Ensure performance evaluations are completed and submitted timely.
• Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the establishment.
• Submit management recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, or space changes.
• Use a systematic approach in planning, organizing, and directing performance.
• Periodically inventory supplies and equipment.
• Investigate new cleaning instruments and methods.
• Ensure compliance with MICS and TICS.
• Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to guests and vendors.
• Follow all safety policies and attend safety meetings and training.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for supervising EVS program to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of the casino and other buildings owned or operated by the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. In addition, we strive to deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and fellow Team Members. • Ensure performance evaluations/progressive disciplinary actions are completed and submitted in a timely manner.


• Inspect and evaluate physical condition of establishment.


• Submit to management recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space.


• Use a systematic approach in planning, organizing, delegating, and directing performance.


• Periodically inventories supplies and equipment.


• Investigate new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.


• Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).


• Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.


• Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.


• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job does not require supervisory duties.

Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED):

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school


• Or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must pass periodic random drug screens.


• Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.


• Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.


• Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.


• Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

• Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours.


• Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.


• Must be available to work weekend and holidays.


• Some enterprises are gaming facilities.


• Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment.


• Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
