Job summary

Running Creek Casino is seeking an EVS Specialist to maintain and clean public and office areas across the casino, under supervision. Responsibilities include cleaning lobbies, restrooms, floors, and fixtures in a dynamic gaming environment.

Applicants should be able to work flexible shifts, operate cleaning equipment, and maintain high cleanliness and safety standards. Training and supervision will be provided by the EVS Supervisor/Manager within the Hospitality Services department.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning public spaces in hospitality is preferred.
• General knowledge of cleaning chemicals is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and regulatory rules.

Responsibilities

• Clean lobbies, casino, lounges, restrooms, corridors, offices and any other area as assigned by supervisor.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors; cleans rugs, carpets, upholstery and draperies.
• Dust and clean glass, ceramic, vinyl, wood, and metal surfaces around fixtures and slot machines; wash walls and windows.
• Utilize cleaning equipment safely and report defects to supervisor.
• Restock bathroom supplies and reset seating on the gaming floor to original positions.
• Maintain public areas free of debris and empty trash as required.
• Follow attendance guidelines and company policies; may perform other duties as assigned by EVS Supervisor/Manager.

Join our team today and become a greater part of the community!We seek EVS Specialists to work a variety of shifts at the casino to effectively maintain and clean public and office areas of casino as assigned by supervisor. Specifically, you will:Clean lobbies, casino, lounges, restrooms, corridors, offices and any other area as assigned by supervisor.Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors; cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.Dust and clean glass, ceramic, vinyl, wood, and metal surfaces of fixtures and slot machines as outlined in section assignments, wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork, wash windows, door panels, and sills.Utilize equipment (i.e. mops, buckets, extension cords, etc.) in a manner that is mindful of guest safety. Empty wastebaskets, and empties and cleans outdoor ashtrays.Transport trash and waste to disposal area. Empties trash according to the environmental method of disposal or holding in specific containers for pick-up.Replenish bathroom supplies and reposition chairs etc. on the casino gaming floor to original positions.Keep all public areas in the casino clean of any unused glasses and bottles, and debris etc., at all times.Report all defects in equipment and furniture and fixtures to the shift Supervisor the moment it is discovered.Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures of the Running Creek Casino and of the Hospitality Services department.May be assigned other job duties by the EVS Supervisor/Manager.WORKING ENVIRONMENT:Running Creek Casino environment includes a gaming floor with flashing lights and frequent loud noises. The Casino includes 2 bars, 2 restaurants, convention center, offices and outdoor Casino property. Team Members must be flexible with their work schedule. Team Members must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned,according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals and to call Security as needed. Team Members have high volume direct public contact. This position does, on occasion, handle hazardous materials. There is occasional overtime. Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform physical work both in and outdoors in all weather conditions; lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio. Must be available for regular standby assignments and work emergency overtime as required. The EVS Specialist must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and with exposure to traffic.
