Table Mountain Casino Inc. is hiring an Environmental Services Associate to maintain clean and sanitary public, gaming, and office areas. You will sweep, mop, scrub, wax floors, and clean restrooms, with attention to safety and guest service.

Must have a High School diploma, the ability to pass pre-employment checks, and a California driver’s license. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required. Work is on-site at the casino.

Position Summary

Under general direction from the EVS Lead, responsible for contributing to a positive customer experience by maintaining the customer areas, entrances, gaming areas, and administrative areas in a clean and sanitary condition.

This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintains cleanliness of public areas and gaming areas including the Event Center.
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and waxes floors.
  • Dusts furniture; cleans public and gaming areas; and administrative offices.
  • Washes windows, walls, and mirrors.
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and deodorizes restrooms; replaces soap and paper products.
  • Empties and cleans waste receptacles and ashtrays; disposes of trash appropriately.
  • Vacuums and shampoos carpets.
  • Strips, waxes, and buffs floors.
  • Cleans vents and reachable light fixtures.
  • Replaces light bulbs reachable without usage of a lift.
  • Notifies management concerning needs of major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, ventilating and equipment.
  • Maintains equipment and custodial supplies and replenishes as needed.
  • Removes litter from grounds when required.
  • Maintains indoor entrances, steps and hallways.
  • Maintains a good communication with co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
  • Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
  • Perform cleaning tasks in the Casino as assigned.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all ceilings, walls, vents at front of house, and office areas.
  • Ensure cleanliness of floors, carpet, and upholstery throughout Casino.
  • Ensure cleanliness of windows, dust furniture, pick up paper and trash from floors, polish slot machines, clean public and employee restrooms, clean out ash trays, dump trash cans, vacuum, and sweep or polish floors.
  • Work special events including bingo set-up and tear down.
  • Report any safety concerns or necessary repairs in a timely manner.
  • May operate company vehicles or equipment as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required.

EVS storage area and all sensitive areas when accompanied with authorization.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, unless otherwise waived by Human Resources Management. Basic knowledge of environmental services required. Must be able to work with chemicals, while maintaining effective working conditions with other departments. Must have excellent guest service skills. A valid California Driver’s License is required. Must be 21 or older. Must be able to successfully pass a pre‑employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.

  • Ability to ensure a high level of customer service for employees and visitors.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50–75 pounds. Requires ability to climb ladders and have stamina for constant walking, bending, stooping, reaching and pushing of medium to heavy weight items and equipment on a regular basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the work environment is noisy and employee will work indoors and occasionally outdoors (exposed to weather conditions). Additionally, the employee will be exposed to cigarette smoke.
