Job summary

Caesars Entertainment is seeking a dedicated custodian to maintain cleanliness in all public areas of the Reno property. You will vacuum carpets, mop floors, clean restrooms, and assist guests with directions and services, while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

The role requires stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow safety notices in English.
• Experience in hotel/casino cleaning preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift items up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in all public areas, restrooms and back of the house areas as described, including vacuuming carpets, dust mopping marble, cleaning machines and surfaces, emptying trash, and restocking supplies.
• Adhere to safety precautions, use equipment properly, report accidents and safety hazards, and ensure chemicals are dispensed and labeled safely.
• Ensure all equipment is clean and functioning; report repairs for equipment, carpet, tile, and fixtures as needed.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and assist guests with directions and services within the Resort/Casino.
• Uphold Caesars values and DEI culture; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

How You Will Create the Extraordinary

• Perform cleaning duties in all public areas, restrooms and back of the house areas which include, but are not limited to the vacuuming of the carpet, dust mopping the marble, cleaning slot machines, slot banks, carousel banks, countertops, mopping hard floors, emptying trash, cleaning ashtrays, pan sweeping the floor, cleaning offices, cleaning of toilets, sinks, countertops, fixtures, stalls, changing paper products, liquid hand soap, etc.
• Adheres to all appropriate safety precautions including proper use of equipment and protective attire. Reports accidents and /or safety problems to supervisor immediately.Notifies guests and employees of safety hazards by placing proper signage in the appropriate areas.Ensures chemicals are properly dispensed and properly labeled and are transported safely ensuring employees’ safety.
• Ensures all equipment being used is functioning properly and kept clean
• Promptly reports any needed repairs including equipment, carpet, tile, wallpaper, wood columns, chandeliers, sink, toilets, urinals, faucets, etc.
• Maintains a high standard of customer service. Assist guests with directions and services available within the Resort/Casino.

What You Will Need

• Ability to understand written English to read caution signs, safety notices, chemicals and Supervisor’s instructions
• Must be able to understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests
• Must possess knowledge of use, cleaning, and breakdown of equipment
• Work may be performed in an area, which may be unusually noisy and crowded
• Mobility to include bending, reaching, prolonged standing and walking, accessing and lifting items from floor level to six feet high
• Normal sense of smell, touch, sound and vision range
• Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity
• Work area is subject to variable temperatures
• May be subject to smoking environment and moderate noise

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
