Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Environmental Services Operating Room Supervisor to lead the EVS Surgery Cleaning Team and ensure cleaning standards are met in the operating room areas.

The role requires 1–2 years in Sterile Field Training or related experience along with familiarity with EVS processes and independent work within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• 1–2 years of Sterile Field Training.
• 1–2 years of restorative floor care experience.
• 1–2 years of Customer Services and/or Environmental Services experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily assignments for the EVS Surgery Cleaning Team to ensure coverage and quality.
• Monitor and inspect work to verify compliance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the EVS Leadership Team to address concerns and drive improvements.
• Stay current with EVS best practices and industry standards.

The Environmental Services (EVS) Operating Room Supervisor responsible for the successfully operation of the EVS Surgery Cleaning Team. The EVS Supervisor stays current with EVS best practices and promotes an engaged workforce. Coordinates daily assignments for shift to ensure all areas of responsibility are cleaned according to established guidelines. Monitors, and inspects work to ensure all policies and procedures are followed at all times. Works closely with EVS Leadership Team to improve quality and/or address concerns in a timely fashion. Outlook, Excel skills, working independently without direct supervision. Demonstrates flexibility, initiative, good judgment, ability to prioritize workload, knowledge of internal and external customers, broad knowledge of Department and company policy and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• High School/GED required
• In lieu of education and experience: 1-2 years of Sterile Field Training, 1-2 years of education background, 1-2 years of restorative floor care experience
• Required Experience: 1-2 years of Customer Services and/or 1-2 years of Environmental Services.
