Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 4 years of supervisory experience in EVS or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years supervisory experience in EVS or related field.
• 3 years as Environmental Services supervisor within the organization.
• Ability to meet physical requirements (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs) and to handle cleaning chemicals.
• Proven leadership, training, and performance coaching in a fast-paced service environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, infection prevention, PPE, and safety standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and daily operational oversight for EVS staff (15+ employees).
• Coordinate staffing, assignments, workflow, and shift coverage to ensure timely service.
• Coach, motivate, and hold staff accountable for performance, quality, safety, and service.
• Communicate department expectations and updates to staff in a timely manner.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, evaluations and employee relations.
• Handle payroll/timekeeping, attendance, overtime, and documentation per policies.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and performance reviews; document outcomes.
• Support service recovery and incident resolution; escalate when needed.
• Assist with department projects, special cleaning requests, and surge coverage.

Education

Associate's degree and 4 years supervisory experience
