Brown University Health seeks a Manager of Environmental Services (EVS) to lead daily cleaning operations at Rhode Island Hospital, ensuring a safe, patient-centered environment.

The role supervises EVS staff, coordinates staffing and training, conducts inspections, and drives continuous improvement in cleanliness, infection control, and service delivery in partnership with clinical and support teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in management, business administration, or healthcare-related field is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible EVS experience with 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated EVS operations, scheduling, quality inspection, and staff supervision experience.
• CHESP certification preferred; EVS training certifications (e.g., T-CHEST/T-CSCT) are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license for roles requiring site travel.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize and oversee daily EVS operations and linen services across areas.
• Establish standards for cleanliness and sanitation; ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Develop staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage across shifts.
• Lead training, auditing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor operational metrics and prepare reports on staffing and productivity.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and development of EVS staff; supervise supervisors.
