Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality is seeking an EVS Shift Manager to oversee the cleanliness of the gaming facility and Back of House areas, excluding hotel rooms and kitchens. This role includes requirements analysis, resource acquisition, staff training, assignments, and quality inspections to maintain high standards.

The position emphasizes supervisory leadership and guest experience in a fast-paced entertainment venue. A management background and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Related Field and two years supervisory experience required.
• Or four years’ experience in a Management position required.
• Or three years’ supervisory experience with Wind Creek Hospitality required.
• Two years of supervisor experience at a commercial entertainment venue, hotel or resort, or a 24x7 business that never closes required.
• Must participate in computer basics training within one year.
• Must pass job interview, including a guest service audition.
• Must participate in departmental training (ex: hard surface, carpet surface, etc.).
• Must obtain certification in lift training annually.
• Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
• Must be willing and able to work with solvents and cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to climb ladders for overhead work.
• Must lift and maneuver a backpack vacuum up to 25 pounds for up to 2 hours.
• Must push/pull or maneuver 5–60 pounds to assigned areas.
• Good writing and verbal communication skills; skills test may be administered.
• Must stand or walk for entire shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Must operate standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Models, promotes, monitors and assures Guest safety throughout interior of Property.
• Models, promotes, monitors, and assures workplace safety throughout department.
• Manages supervisors with administrative direction to maintain cleanliness and efficiency of interiors.
• Performs daily property inspections to ensure expectations are met.
• Plans and directs special projects including deep cleaning, high dusting, carpet and upholstery cleaning.
• Coaches, mentors and develops team members (including EVS Supervisors).
• Inventories and orders departmental supplies.
• Creates work schedules and conducts timekeeping.
• Acts as Manager on duty in absence of Executive Housekeeper.
• Keeps staff informed of pertinent information.
• Maintains quarterly focus on department objectives.
• Keeps up with EVS practices, safety concerns and industry trends.
• Performs physical motions including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
