Job summary

Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA, seeks an Environmental Services Lead for night shifts (10:30 pm–7:00 am) with weekend/holiday rotation. You will lead EVS staff, ensure safety, sanitation, and patient experience, and mentor team members to uphold service standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling, staff coaching, infection control, and compliance with facility policies. Requirements: CHEST certification within 18 months, high school diploma, and 3 years related experience.

• CHEST certification within 18 months from hire.

Responsibilities

• Schedules breaks and lunches for all assigned staff.
• Coordinates daily staffing using the staff schedule.
• Coordinates communication between shifts to ensure continuity of service.
• Mentors staff and delegates responsibilities to improve performance.
• Ensures infection control policies are followed and safety practices are observed.
• Oversees EVS staff performance and area cleanliness.
• Conducts routine quality improvement inspections.
