Job summary

Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Lead to supervise and develop the EVS team, uphold safety and infection control standards, and enhance patient and family experiences in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role emphasizes leadership in healthcare sanitation, staff development, and service excellence, with evening shift hours and weekend/holiday rotation. Ideal candidates are passionate about quality and teamwork and enjoy mentoring others.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years related work experience (Required).
• Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) within 18 months - AH E.
• CHEST certification or equivalent required within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Schedules breaks and lunches daily for all assigned staff.
• Coordinates staffing using the staff schedule for sufficient daily coverage.
• Oversees EVS employees to ensure clean, safe, and orderly environments.
• Mentors staff and delegates tasks to improve performance.
• Monitors bed tracking and infection control practices within patient areas.
