Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison, WI, seeks an Environmental Services Floor Technician for the East Madison Hospital. This 100% FTE night role runs 9:00 pm to 5:30 am, with Week 1 days off Sunday and Friday and Week 2 days off Monday and Saturday.

You will perform floor care, cleaning and disinfecting to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff, while maintaining appearance across all floor types.

Qualifications

• 6 months of continuous employment with a single employer preferred.
• Previous cleaning and/or customer service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care responsibilities to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of floor surfaces.
• Perform maintenance, upkeep, and restoration of all floor types within the organization.
• Clean and disinfect UW Health facilities using proper procedures, equipment, and chemicals to ensure a safe environment.

We are seeking a Environmental Services Floor Technician to:

• Perform floor care responsibilities in protecting and preserving of floor surfaces to maintaining appropriate appearance and cleanliness.
• Perform maintenance, upkeep, and restoration of all floor types within the organization.
• Perform a wide variety of duties including cleaning and disinfecting UW Health facilities, utilizing proper procedures, equipment, and cleaning chemicals to ensure a safe environment for all patients, visitors, and staff.

Licenses & Certifications

• If position requires driving a company vehicle, the following requirements apply:
  • Must be 21 years of age to drive a UW Health Fleet vehicle and must be 25 years of age to drive a UW Health vehicle rated for 15 or more passengers
• Ability to be insured by Hospital's risk management insurer which requires
  • (1) a valid Wisconsin driver's license and
  • (2) successfully passing a driving background check Required
