Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison, WI, is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to lead our Environmental Services team and play a key role in infection prevention. The role is 100% FTE on 2nd shift, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with alternating on-call weekends and holidays.

You will plan, direct and assign work, document daily productivity, conduct inspections, and coordinate with other departments to ensure quality of work.

Qualifications

  • Two years of supervisory or lead experience in a large organization.
  • Five years of supervisory experience in an acute health care facility preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Hazardous waste awareness certificate within 1 year is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct and assign the work to be completed by environmental services technicians, seniors and environmental services floor care technicians.
  • Document completion of work through daily productivity reports.
  • Complete inspections, rounding, documentation and regular meetings with other departments to ensure quality of work.

Qualifications
  • No minimum education required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of EVS or Leadership experience. Preferred
Work Experience
  • 2 years previous supervisory or lead role experience in a large organization Required
  • 5 years previous supervisory experience at an acute health care facility Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Hazardous waste awareness certificate within 1 Year Required
