Job summary

Servicon Systems, Inc. is seeking a Housekeeper I in Downey, CA. The position is full-time at Rancho Los Amigos, focusing on cleaning and sanitation across assigned areas per quality and safety standards.

Interaction with clients may occur to ensure facility cleanliness and infection prevention. The ideal candidate has at least 1+ year custodial experience, healthcare cleaning background is a plus, and fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles and remove waste paper from premises to designated areas
• Vacuum rugs and carpeted areas, sweep/dust-mop hard floors, damp-mop or clean spills in offices and public areas
• Dust and wipe office furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and surfaces to remove fingerprints and smudges
• Keep janitor’s closet clean and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned as needed

The Role

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas using established practices and procedures according to company and client standards of quality and safety. May require frequent interaction with client.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces, and damp-mop or clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.
• Other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.

What It Takes To Be Successful

• 1+ years of custodial experience a plus
• Prior experience cleaning in healthcare facilities preferred
• Must be fluent in English language
