Job summary

The Rose Gaming Resort is looking for a part-time EVS Attendant to ensure the cleanliness of public areas inside and outside the casino. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, trash removal, and providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate must be at least 18 years old, have at least six months of cleaning experience, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. A Virginia Racing Commission License is also required.

The Rose Gaming Resort is a $480 million gaming and entertainment complex destination located alongside I-95 in Dumfries, Virginia. Job Summary

Under direct supervision of the EVS Supervisor, the EVS Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of all public areas inside and outside the casino, including vacuuming, mopping, window washing, restroom cleaning, trash removal, office cleaning, back‑of‑house area cleaning, exterior cleaning of electronic games, restocking supply shelves, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker areas, employee break rooms, and other assigned work areas.
• Sweep, scrub, and vacuum floors.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dust and polish metalwork, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
• Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays.
• Transport trash and waste to designated disposal areas.
• Replenish restroom supplies as needed.
• Provide soap and paper towels to patrons during peak times.
• Clean contaminated spills with appropriate materials and protective equipment.
• Disinfect lavatory, floors, and fixtures after each use.
• Transport small equipment or tools between departments as directed.
• Notify management of property misuse complaints.
• Communicate job issues factually.
• Clean windows and doors.
• Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members.
• Perform duties to department standard or as directed by leadership.
• Perform additional detailed cleaning as required.
• Move, rearrange, and clean furniture.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
• Obtain and retain required license(s).
• Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Avoid allowing minors to gamble, loiter in gambling areas, drink alcohol, or purchase tobacco.
• Show knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relevant to the department.
• Understand the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
• Report any acts of wrongdoing when aware.

Education and Experience

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• At least six months of previous work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License; Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three years driving experience.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

The role requires frequent sitting or standing, walking, using hands and arms to reach and handle tools or objects, climbing or balancing, kneeling or crouching, talking or hearing, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Noise levels are usually moderate to loud. The employee is required to circulate throughout assigned areas, including the smoking area, and observe players and machine functions.
