Job description

EVP, Ecommerce
About the Role

We are a multi-brand platform in the personal care space, built around a portfolio of complementary consumer brands operating under one growth-focused organization. A shared Ecommerce structure is already in place across the portfolio; as we scale, we're hiring an EVP, Ecommerce to own digital commerce strategy and performance across the entire business — expanding what's already built and taking the Ecommerce organization to its next level of growth across DTC, social commerce, marketplace, and specialty retailer.com.

This is our most senior Ecommerce leadership role, reporting to the CEO and sitting on the executive leadership team, based in New York City, with periodic travel as needed.

Scope:

This role owns Ecommerce across the full portfolio and full channel mix — DTC.com, social commerce, and marketplace/retailer.com (Amazon, Walmart, Target, and others). Brand-level Ecommerce leaders and channel heads report into this role. The Ecommerce business has driven company growth for the past several years. It is a $100m+ business today, with expectation to double in size.We offer the chance to lead Ecommerce for a multi-brand platform at its next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & P&L
  • Own the Ecommerce P&L across all portfolio brands, spanning premium and mass price tiers: revenue, gross margin, digital marketing spends, and contribution margin.
  • Set the multi-year digital commerce strategy across every channel — DTC, social commerce, marketplace, and specialty retailer.com — expanding the shared eCommerce structure already in place.
  • Own the annual planning process for digital revenue, and report performance to the CEO, executive team, and board/investors.
Channel & Brand Execution
  • Own marketplace and retailer.com strategy and execution across Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc. balancing 1P/3P models by brand and price tier.
  • Build and scale social commerce as a growth channel, including TikTok Shop, Instagram/Facebook Shop, livestream selling, and creator-led commerce.
  • Partner with brand presidents/GMs and CMOs to translate portfolio strategy into brand-specific roadmaps that protect each brand's positioning across the premium-to-mass spectrum.
  • Oversee site experience, merchandising, pricing/promotions, and conversion rate optimization across all owned DTC properties.
Team Leadership
  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing Ecommerce organization spanning brand-level Ecommerce leaders and shared-service functional heads (marketplace, social commerce, performance marketing, CRM, site experience).
  • Decide what to centralize (platform, data, tooling, vendor leverage) versus keep brand-specific (creative, positioning, promotional calendar).
  • Manage key agency and platform partner relationships, negotiating from portfolio scale.
Cross-Functional Partnership & M&A
  • Partner with Finance on forecasting, unit economics, and investment cases for new channels or tooling.
  • Partner with Supply Chain/Operations to align demand planning, inventory, and fulfillment with digital growth targets.
  • Lead Ecommerce integration for newly acquired brands, standardizing platforms, data, reporting, and ways of working within agreed timelines post-close.
  • Partner with corporate development/M&A on diligence for prospective acquisitions, assessing digital commerce readiness, growth potential, and integration complexity.
Technology & Operations
  • Own the Ecommerce technology roadmap shared across brands (commerce platform, personalization, analytics, martech), building on the shared infrastructure already in place.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage the technology and app stack, with a clear point of view on what's centralized across the portfolio versus brand-specific.
  • Drive a test-and-learn culture across the portfolio, scaling what works from one brand or channel to others.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
  • 15+ years of Ecommerce/digital commerce leadership, owning revenue and P&L
  • Direct experience in consumer-packaged goods spanning both premium and mass price tiers
  • Proven experience leading Ecommerce across a multi-brand portfolio, house of brands, or platform company
  • Track record scaling DTC, social commerce, and marketplace revenue profitably, with fluency in CAC, LTV, and contribution margin
  • Deep functional expertise across performance marketing, social commerce (TikTok Shop, livestream, creator commerce), marketplace management (Amazon, Walmart, Target 1P/3P), specialty retailer.com, CRM/retention, and site merchandising
  • A growth mindset and strong marketing sense — comfortable operating in ambiguity and testing/scaling new channels quickly, with an intuitive feel for brand positioning that complements deep performance/data fluency
  • Strong people leadership: has built and managed teams spanning marketplace, social commerce, performance marketing, CRM, and site experience
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with regular board/investor reporting
  • Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
  • Hands-on M&A brand integration experience, folding newly acquired brands' Ecommerce operations, systems, and teams into a portfolio, on time and with minimal disruption to revenue
  • Experience building shared services and technology infrastructure across multiple brands or business units
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree
  • Prior experience in a multi-brand holding company environment
What We Offer
  • A competitive base salary with performance-based bonus tied to portfolio Ecommerce growth, plus equity/long-term incentive participation in the platform's success
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, and a 401(k) with company match
  • Generous, flexible PTO
  • Product/employee discounts across the brand portfolio
