Job summary

LEARN Behavioral is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate students, develop therapy plans, and monitor progress toward IEP goals. You will collaborate with teachers, families, and therapists to deliver comprehensive special education support across school settings.

Qualifications include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Praxis certification, and the ability to work within school teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Additional state teaching certification or credential may be required.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive and receptive language.
• Develop and implement speech and language therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and educational needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and contribute to the IEP process.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies.
• Participate in team meetings, provide staff training, and mentor or supervise assistants or students as appropriate.
