Job summary

EverHealth, part of EverCommerce, seeks a Software Engineer IV to design and deliver features across our healthcare platform. This remote, US/Canada role supports patients and providers with scalable, secure solutions.

You'll develop, test and deploy software, review code, and strengthen unit test coverage. Required: 5–8 years in Python/Django and modern SPA frameworks (React), REST/GraphQL, SQL Server, Redis, and strong OOP; HIPAA awareness encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years working with Python/Django and modern SPA frameworks (React)
• REST API / GraphQL experience (Apollo)
• OOP and relational databases (SQL Server / T-SQL)
• Experience with ORM (SQLAlchemy) and Redis caching
• At least 1–2 years with AI/ML
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, Confluence and agile ceremonies
• Familiarity with health IT standards and HIPAA concepts
• Strong problem solving, debugging and code review skills

We’re one of the most tech-forward healthcare players in the EHR industry and our philosophy “more time with patients, less time doing paperwork” drives constant innovation throughout the company.On the software development team in the EverHealth team, you will be responsible for developing new features and functionality that both maintain existing experiences as well as drive innovation to support growth for our solution and customers. **Key Responsibilities:*** Work with a team of industry experts to design and develop sophisticated software* Code, test and deployment of software* Assist team with problem solving and debugging to ensure solid, bug free platforms* Review pull requests* Contribute to agile ceremonies such as standup, refinement and retros* Expand and maintain unit test coverage**Experience and Skills:**5-8 years working with:* Python/Django - expertise required* JavaScript and modern SPA frameworks (React experience preferred)* OOP* Rest API/GraphQL experience (Apollo)* Version control systems (Github)* Work Management and Documentation using Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence)* ORM frameworks (SqlAlchemy)* Relational databases (SQL Server / T-SQL preferred), including complex stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning* Caching technologies like Redis* Experience designing and developing enterprise level software* Multi-threaded applications* Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability (New Relic/Sentry)1-2 years working with:* AI/ML**General understanding:*** ANSI HIPAA transactions, (835, 837, 270, 271, etc.)* Health Information Technology (HIT)* U.S. healthcare regulatory requirements such as MIPS, Meaningful Use, or ONC certification standards**Where:** The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. The annual base salary range for this position is $145,000 - $160,000 USD Per Year.
